Sell My Audemars Piguet in Bristol
BristolSouth West
Audemars Piguet is one of the few brands where a single model carries the whole market, and the Royal Oak is it. We buy AP by appointment at Castlemead on Lower Castle Street, and we place plenty more on behalf of owners across the South West. Whether you want a clean exit with money the same day or the higher figure that comes from a proper retail sale, the first step is the same, let us see the watch and check it over.
What we are buying
- Royal Oak Jumbo, the 15202 and its successor the 16202, in steel and precious metal
- Royal Oak Selfwinding 15400 and 15500, with the 15500 in blue and grey moving fastest
- Royal Oak Chronograph 26331 and 26240, particularly panda dial configurations
- Royal Oak Offshore, from the earlier 25721 and 26170 through to current 43mm references
- Royal Oak 37mm and 34mm, including diamond set and mother of pearl dial pieces
- Code 11.59 and Millenary, valued honestly rather than optimistically
Steel demand and full sets
Steel remains where the depth is. A steel Royal Oak in good order will always find a buyer, and the tapisserie dials in blue, black and grey are the ones people ask for by name. Precious metal pieces sell well too, but to a smaller audience, which usually means giving them a little more time on the market rather than accepting less.
Full sets matter more with AP than with almost any other brand. Buyers expect the box, the warranty card, the extra links and, on later watches, the digital record. These are the points we look at.
- Case and bracelet condition, since the brushed and polished surfaces on a Royal Oak are difficult to restore correctly once lost
- Bracelet stretch, which is the first thing a serious buyer checks
- Whether the watch has been serviced, and by whom
- Whether any parts have been changed, including aftermarket bezels, diamond setting or straps
- Card date, because a recent card still carries weight on current references
Sell outright or consign
An outright sale is simple. We agree a figure, you are paid by bank transfer or in cash the same day once we have checked your ID and the watch, and the watch is our problem from that moment. For very high values, or sales outside banking hours, payment may follow on the next working day. Consignment works differently. We photograph and list the watch, sell it on your behalf with no sale, no fee, and you watch the views and offers arrive on your own dashboard. On a full set Royal Oak the difference between the two routes is usually worth a conversation, and we will set out both numbers so you can decide rather than guess.
Booking it in
Book a time to come in, or send the reference number and photographs ahead so we can give you an indication before you travel. Every watch we sell is authenticated before it is listed and carries our authenticity guarantee for life, so expect a thorough inspection of movement, case, bracelet and dial. If you are trading rather than cashing out, part exchange against anything in the cabinet is straightforward and usually improves what your watch is worth to you.
What to bring: the watch, photo ID (passport or driving licence), and any box, papers, receipts or service records. You need to be 18 or over and the owner of the watch, or entitled to sell it.
Visits are by appointment at Suite 616, Castlemead, Lower Castle Street, Bristol BS1 3AG. No obligation, and a straight answer on what your AP is worth today.
