Sell Your Luxury Watch in Exeter
ExeterSouth West
Exeter is the longest run of any town on our regular list, about seventy five miles up the M5 to Castlemead in central Bristol, and it is a journey plenty of Exeter clients make. Open Link Company buys luxury watches outright with same day payment, sells authenticated pre-owned stock, sources specific references to order, takes part exchange, and offers consignment for owners who want retail money rather than a trade offer. Exeter is Devon's commercial centre, a cathedral and university city with a good deal of quiet wealth around it, and there are far fewer specialist buyers down there than the market deserves. We are independent luxury watch specialists based in Bristol, and every watch we sell is guaranteed authentic for life.
Selling your watch from Exeter
Because of the distance, do the online step first. Send the brand, the reference, the condition, whether the box and papers are still with it, and photographs. We aim to come back to you with a figure the same working day, so you know exactly what the trip is worth before you spend an hour and a half on the road.
When you come in, the watch is inspected with you present, and we pay by bank transfer or in cash the same day once we have checked your ID and the watch. For very high values, or sales outside banking hours, payment may follow on the next working day. We buy Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Cartier as our core, and we are interested in serious pieces from the wider market. The sell page is where to begin.
What to bring: the watch, photo ID (passport or driving licence), and any box, papers, receipts or service records. You need to be 18 or over and the owner of the watch, or entitled to sell it.
On a higher value watch, ask about consignment. We sell it for you at retail, there is no fee unless it sells, and an online dashboard shows you views, enquiries and offers as they arrive, so the distance is no obstacle to staying on top of the sale. For a lot of Exeter clients this is the sensible route, because the whole thing can be set up in one visit and run from home after that. If it does not sell, or you change your mind, you collect it from us at Castlemead.
Buying and sourcing
Every piece in our stock is authenticated before it is listed, with the movement, case and paperwork checked, so nothing goes near the cabinet or the website on trust. If you are after a particular reference, tell us and we will look for it rather than steer you towards whatever happens to be in. Sourcing to a specific reference, dial and year is routine work, and we will be straight with you about what is realistic at your budget and how long it is likely to take.
Getting to us from Exeter
The M5 north the whole way, then either junction 18 for the Portway or straight on to the M4 and M32, depending on where the traffic is. Allow an hour and a half in normal conditions and longer on a summer weekend when the M5 fills with holiday traffic. By rail, Exeter St Davids to Bristol Temple Meads is a direct run of around an hour on Great Western and CrossCountry services, and Castlemead is minutes from the station. Everything is by appointment.
Send the details before you travel and we will have a working figure and the right watches waiting when you arrive. Your firm offer is confirmed once we have seen the watch.
